The UK theory test now consists of two parts. The multiple choice section and the hazard perception section. For cars and motorcycles from 3 September 2007 you'll be asked 50 questions in 57 minutes and the pass mark is 43 out of 50. For lorries and buses you'll be asked 60 questions in 70 minutes and the pass mark is 51 out of 60. The hazard perception section consists of 14 movie clips, you must score 44 out of a possible 75 marks to pass this part, LGV or PCV candidates must score 50 out of 75.

You must pass the multiple choice and the hazard perception parts at the same time to pass the theory test.
